As a mutual organization, Assurity was founded on the simple concept of people coming together to support each other in moments of need. We continue our mission of helping people through difficult times by providing affordable insurance protection that is easy to understand and buy. Our financial stability has stood the test of time. It shows our commitment to be there when our customers need us.

Owned by our policyholders, we conduct our business to serve only their best interests. Whether paying benefits, offering service with a human touch, giving back to our community, or practicing sustainable habits that provide for our planet, we embrace our capacity to improve lives. We all share in the future we create, and Assurity believes in using our business as a force for good.

The Hub Cafe’s approach to food is simple: use the best ingredients that we, as local farmers, have to offer. Sourcing from the farmers in our local food community allows us to serve the freshest, best-tasting produce, dairy products and meats to inspire creative dishes and connect us and our customers to our landscape and the seasons. Above all, we strive to treat our guests and staff alike with care, sharing our mission to transform the bounty of this land into exceptional modern farm fare.

The Party in the Parks events were initiated in the summer of 2013 to provide free community arts events in Union Plaza Park. Party in the Parks was expanded in 2015 to include other free performing and visual arts events in many different Lincoln parks throughout the summer months. In the fall of 2015, the City of Lincoln received the Nebraska Recreation and Park Association Arts and Humanities Award for the Party in the Parks on Union Plaza events. This award recognizes communities that offer an outstanding program in the arts & humanities.

"We want to thank the many community partners who come together to make Party in the Parks events happen," said Parks and Recreation Director Lynn Johnson. "Party in the Parks are cooperative efforts that make Lincoln a fun place for residents and visitors."

Don't forget to like our Facebook page and post photos and videos of your family enjoying the party!

The focus of the Hub & Soul music series is to provide a free community celebration for all ages. During each event, we will highlight one local non-profit. Our 2019 Nonprofit Partner is the Great Plains Trails Network, a group of citizens who advocate and support a network of trails in and around Lancaster County. Since founded in 1988, GPTN has been responsible for raising nearly $3 million in private donations for our 134-mile trails system and the Jayne Snyder Trails Center.
